Q: Why should I choose your business to take our pictures?

A:  Well honestly, you do not have to choose us.  However we appreciate it when you do and send new clients our way. 

We are not like your typical photography business.  We do not do just the typical portraits.  WE HAVE FUN!  We want your experience to be memorable and that you get great pictures from them.  So if we say "lets break the session up" ... "lets reschedule for a better day for your little one or bigger kiddos" ... "Let re-do one of these poses"  Its to make sure your get something amazing in the end.  We work on kids time, not our time :)

So when choosing us, you know your gonna have fun (Yes, we force FUN lol).  And your going to have great pictures. 

And when choosing a photograph business you do need to take a few things into consideration: 1. Are you on a time constraint?  2.  Do I like this photography business style?  3.  Do I get along with the photographer?  4.  Is the photography business going to take my suggestions and/or go for what I'm wanting?  5.  Can they meet my budget or get me what I want in the end?  And a few more depending on what your needing.

 

Q:  How long does it take before I get to see the session?

A:  Depends on your session:  Weddings/Events are at least 4 weeks to 16 weeks, sometimes longer.  General sessions are at least 10 days. 

It all boils down to how many sessions are ahead of yours, how many images we take, how many edits (we like to make sure those little mistakes are gone, because you know kids will be kids), and if there are any rush orders ahead of yours.  I edit each image that meets my standards, which means I'm super picky as to what I want the world to see.  So each image is edited by hand, which is good for you.  Not to mention some days I shoot up to 10 shoots a day.

Plus I have a family; this is the order for my life: God, Family, country/Texas, & then business. 

Remember you cannot rush greatness!

 

Q:  Do you do rush orders?

A:  Yes, we do!  If your needing something then talk with us!!!! I cannot express how much communication is needed for everyone nowadays.  If you talk with us we are always willing to help!  You can have your pictures in 24-36 hrs, Monday-Thursday (but there is a rush order fee).  Needing your session edited in a short time like a day, then that can be done but there is a rush order fee.  Otherwise its first come, first serve.

 

Q:  Can I get a CD from the session?

A:  Yes & No.  We do not offer CD's anymore to our clients.  We only offer USB's & Digi-Downloads after a minimum order of $350 is placed at ordering. And you can ONLY go to the mpix.com to order prints. 

Reason why we say ONLY mpix.com:  They are calibrated with our computers.  Plus if you go elsewhere you may end up with a crappy print, and I'm sorry but we cannot be held liable if you do not listen and we can revoke the print release.  Because we do hold the copyright to our images.  To get a Copyright release is very expensive.   Not to mention we've invested over $2000 in research in public places where clients can print digitals whenever they want. 

 

Q:  How long will my pictures be up?

A:  They are generally up for 2 weeks with general sessions.  With Events they are up for 6 months.  And with Weddings they are up for 1 yr.  If you have a year long package, then they will be up for a little over a year. 

Then after your time is up they go into archive for 6 months to 2 years.  This will depend on your session type.  Once they are in the archive you can have them placed back up for 1 month to order by paying a $50 archival fee.  This fee helps pay for the storage of your session(s) for so long.  We occasionally do a special where if you call and ask we will place them back up for FREE for a month. 

EFFECTIVE 2017:  WE WILL NO LONGER PLACE FOLDERS BACK UP FOR FREE, UNLESS WE ARE DOING A PROMO SPECIAL.  FEE MUST BE PAID PRIOR TO THEM BEING LOADED & YOU WILL RECEIVE A $25 COUPON CODE TO MAKE AN ORDER.

 

Q:  How long before I can pick up my pictures or before they are mailed to me?

A:  General is 1 to 8 weeks.  Now there are some products that take longer to receive since there are long processes to create them.  I think the longest we ever had to wait was like 10 weeks, but the end result was AMAZING!  So worth the wait.

 

Q:  You're so cheap...You're so expensive...

A:  Well remember I run a business to support my family and because I love it.  I'm cheap and then again I'm not.  Where you see expensive prices because you're paying for my knowledge, style, experience, and I'm just awesome ;)  And remember, "you get what you pay for;" which this term can mean so much.  Personal I look at taking pictures as an investment of my present and future.  Because in the future you want to remember the great times in the past.

When you have your own business you pay about 25% to 40% in fees, taxes, insurance, etc. 

 

Q:  How do I contact you?

A:  Email, Call, Text...whichever is easier for you, and all of the above.  But keep in mind if I'm shooting another client, completely booked for a day, or out of town (which is normally because I'm at an event)  I will not be able to immediately respond.  Not all out of town locations have great reception/coverage/service/net and I'm sure you do not want me responding (unless it is an email) at 2 or 3 in the morning.  And I will respond as soon as I can, if I do not respond within 36 hrs I may not have received your message still so please try again.  If I'm on vacation I try to have that in my voice mail message or set up on my email for an automated response; which once I return I will contact you.

I've had many tell me on my old phone they sent me text and calls; I never received them or I would get them several days later.  I think the worse thing is when I was told  by clients that they never received any calls or messages from me.  Which is why I broke down and upgraded to another.   I felt horrible when I have found this out.

 

Q: How many photographers work with or for Spoil U Photography?

A:  The amazing answer to that is: ME, my husband, my oldest daughter (she just has fun with it mostly, but gosh darn it she is getting GREAT), and my Mom (who I got my shutter bug from, LOVE YA MOMMA).  And every once in a while we "hire out",  although last time we were kind of burned by that person (long story), and it was because I was put on best rest at that time.

 

Q: I can no longer see my pictures what happened?

A: Remember we usually only display sessions for 2 weeks at a time.  After that time they go into archive.  And to get your images back up where you can view them, there will be a $50 archival fee.  This fee helps pay for us to keep your pictures.  In the past we have been nice and placed images up for longer, but sadly some have abused this niceness.  So we require the archive fee be paid before images ever go back up.

A:  Yes, we do have an order minimum.  $75

And ALWAYS remember, we are running a business.  Yes we LOVE helping our fellow man and giving to charities...but just because you want something does not mean we will be "giving away the farm."
